N Men's Netball Open the map

For blokes who play, and the ones who want to

Men's netball is real, and it's near you.

Most people have never seen a men's netball game. Most players never forget their first one. This is the map of where it happens: men's and mixed clubs, everywhere we can find them, free to search and free to join.

Why this exists

Netball is one of the biggest team sports in the world, and for most of its history it has been played almost entirely by women and girls. Men have always played too: in mixed teams, in social leagues, and in men's competitions that ran for years without much notice. The scene is now bigger than most people realise, with state and national men's competitions in Australia, a growing men's game in England, New Zealand and beyond, and mixed netball filling indoor courts every weeknight.

The hard part was never finding people who wanted to play. It was finding each other. Clubs advertised in Facebook groups, on noticeboards and by word of mouth, and a bloke who wanted a game in a new city had nowhere to look. Now there is a map.

Never played?

Mixed social netball is where most men start. No experience needed. A decent club will teach you the footwork in the first ten minutes and put you on court the same night.

Played as a kid, then stopped?

Men's clubs grade from social to competitive, and in several countries there is a pathway from club to state and national squads. Look for clubs marked competitive.

Travelling?

Search the city you are heading to. Netball people are generous with a spare bib, and a fill-in for one night is how a lot of friendships start.

Clubs in their own words

The map

Men's clubs are shown first. Switch the type filter to see mixed, or everything.

Looking for women's or junior netball too? The whole sport is on netballclubs.com, the same map without the men's filter. Walking netball and wheelchair netball have pages of their own.
